History of LSR

The Lebanese Society of Rheumatology was founded in 1961. Its first board was formed by Dr Victor Mondalak (President), Dr Emile Bitar (Vice-President), Dr Simon Khalaf, Dr Fouad Nasr and Dr Fayez Chatila.

The LSR is a part of the  Lebanese Order of Physicians and a member of the ArLAR (Arab League of Associations for Rheumatology) and the EULAR (European League Against Rheumatism).

Currently, the LSR comprises 53 rheumatologists. It has a scientific committee and an organizing committee dedicated to the scientific meetings.
